Many patients report some soreness in the treated muscles and referral areas lasting from hours after the treatment up to two days. Other than muscle soreness, side effects are mostly rare. Prior to the procedure, a thorough discussion of the benefits & risks is done to make sure our patients are given full information before giving their consents.
Our clinicians are experienced professionals and are very careful in every procedure they perform. BEAT physical therapists have a thorough understanding of the human anatomy and various useful dry needling techniques.
Dr. Day Alfonso, PT, DPT, CIMT, OCS, Cert. DN and Dr. Maria Arini, PT, DPT, CSCS, CMTPT, our licensed practitioners, perform the dry needling procedure attended and passed formal training, are both Certified Dry Needling practitioners for many years now and have mastered the human anatomy.
Trigger Point Dry Needling
Dry needling therapy is a very safe treatment technique. We, at BEAT Physical Therapy, incorporate this new approach to help improve patients condition in relieving pain, treating acute to chronic injuries, muscle spasms, or muscle imbalances. Our rehab facility uses individually packaged single-use, sterile needles. The needles are very fine, with various lengths, and the insertion rarely causes any bruising or bleeding.
